Google Nexus 5 Gets Multiboot Tool

Whenever a new custom ROM hits the web most of the android users finds it exciting to give a try. At the same time it becomes a mess when they feels down with the new ROM and reaches a condition when they wanna re-install the previous one. There arises the role of a Multiboot tool which offers the ability to choose between multiple ROMs at the time of booting up.

Here comes a Multiboot tool for the Nexus 5 from XDA Recognized Developer Tasssadar, the very same tool which got Multiboot support to Nexus 4 and Nexus 7. The tool, split into three parts including a kernel, recovery and MultiROM application allows the users to boot from a ROM stored in an external drive and make selection between any number of ROMs.

Apart from the previous versions, Tasssadar has managed to include some new features including:

  • The ability to swap between the primary and secondary ROMs.
  • Run the last booted ROM.
  • Support OTAs on secondary ROMs (tested fine with OmniRom , but doesn't work with CyanogenMod)
Before proceeding with the tool, keep in mind that playing with the tool involves a lot of risks and work with caution.
